Gargantia on the verdurous planet 

In the distant future, mankind has taken to the stars and formed the Galactic Alliance of Humankind . The Alliance is engaged in a perpetual war with a tentacled alien species known as the Hideauze. Sixteen-year-old Ensign Ledo is a soldier in the Galactic Alliance, piloting a Machine Caliber , an artificial intelligence-automated, humanoid-shaped battle suit, which he refers to as "Chamber". After a failed attempt by the Alliance forces to destroy an enemy super-weapon, Ledo is knocked into a wormhole and loses consciousness. When he awakens, he learns from Chamber that he has been in cryo-stasis for six months while his wounds were healing. Ledo learns that he and Chamber have been "found" by a rag-tag band of "primitive" human scavengers. Ledo quickly discovers that he is on board a massive fleet of ships on an ocean-covered planet. Chamber tells him that local star charts reveal the planet is Earth, the birthplace of humanity, a place that members of the Alliance were only familiar with from stories and believed was a myth.

Hagorome Gitsune is the demon fox who was originally considered the master of the spirits and is the head of the to Kyoto Yōkai. According to Keikain records, Hagorome Gitsune had first appeared during the turbulent times, possessed the body of a notable child, and had taken control of the body to attain the adult form. Hagorome had been gathering power by absorbing the hatred, envy, anger, despair and large quantities of malice from the center of the government, she had continued to grow stronger and it is said that the stronger the malice in the world, the stronger she will become. Despite this, she can only live as long as a human lifetime, for when her host body's life reaches its end, she must hide her "true form" somewhere safe until a suitable humancandidate for her reincarnation appears. If her "true form" isn't sealed, then regardless of how many times she is defeated, she will continue to reincarnate into the next generation. As a result of this, she is said to be capable of living a thousand years.

Expelled from paradise

Angela Balzac is an agent at the space station DEVA, whose inhabitants have no physical bodies, their minds digitized and processed into a virtual reality environment. After failing to track down the hacker known as "Frontier Setter", who had infiltrated DEVA's systems dozens of times to gather allies for his cause with no success, she is tasked to look for him down on Earth, now a barren planet where the rest of the humans live. After being given an organic body and sent to the surface, Angela meets Dingo, her contact on Earth, who cuts off all communications with her base, in order to prevent Frontier Setter from discovering their location as well, despite her protests

This all changes, however, when she transfers into a new high school and meets Yoshihisa Manabe, a dim-witted boy with a perverted imagination. Unfazed by Haruka's ability to read minds, Yoshihisa offers her his friendship and vows to stand by her no matter what. Together, they join their school's ESP Research Society
